Ninety Six National Historic Site

Size: 1,022 Acres

Overview: This is a land where many have toiled and struggled to make a life against the unforgiving backcountry. Here, Cherokee Indians roamed; hunting for food and defending their land against those who would take it. Two towns and trading posts were founded, and subsequently abandoned to the elements. Two Revolutionary War battles claimed the lives of over 100 people on the same ground.
