Home to the largest expanse of old growth bottomland hardwood forest in the United States, and the only one remaining in the Southeast, it is a haven for the biodiversity of the region. Nourished by the Congaree and Wateree Riveers, the rich ecosystem supports not only champion trees, but an abundance of wildlife as well.
