Overview: Charles Pinckney was a primary author and signee go the United States Constitution. The remaining portion of Pinckney’s coastal plantation is maintained to recount the story of a “forgotten founder”, his time as a public servant, the lives of African American slaves on South Carolina Lowcountry plantations and their impact on Charles Pinckney.
