Spanning five hundred miles, the Path of Progress National Heritage Tour Route is a driving route that highlights the amazing heritage of southwestern Pennsylvania. The route passes through the hills and valleys of nine counties, and through many historic sites. The Path of Progress is an amazing journey through the cultural, industrial, and economic history and significance of the region, and can be enjoyed in small sections, or as a whole.
