Flight 93 National Memorial

Size: 2,321 Acres

Overview: The morning of September 11, 2001 was the day that the U.S. was attacked by four hijacked commercial flights, causing the deadliest foreign strike on American soil. Flight 93 was the fourth plane, and was the only one that did not reach its planned target. The courage, quick-thinking, unity, and sacrifice of the passengers and crew put an abrupt end to the attack. Today their bravery is honored at the Flight 93 National Memorial.
