More than 2,000 signatures, dates, messages, and petroglyphs were carved into the stone by Ancestral Puebloans, Spaniards, and Americans. This is a centuries-old written record that is still legible! Visitors to El Morro National Monument will also discover a great diversity of wildlife amid the spectacular geological formations.
