Roosevelt Campobello International Park

Size: 2,800 Acres

Overview: Franklin D. Roosevelt spent many of his summers on this majestic island with his family, first as a child, then as a husband and father. He shared with his children many of the activities that he had enjoyed here as a child. Campobello Island was always a special place for President Roosevelt, though he was able to visit less frequently after being stricken with polio. The memorial is a symbol of enduring cooperation between the U.S. and Canada.
