Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site

Overview: Little Rock Central High School was the setting of a monumental milestone in the Civil Rights Movement. The Supreme Court ruling in Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka resulted in the admission of nine African-American students to the previously all-white high school. The famous event became the most well-known national example of desegregation.
