Overview: Buffalo National River was established in 1972. One of the last remaining undamned rivers in the contiguous United States, it flows unobstructed for 135 miles. At the river, you can travel through the Ozark Mountains down to the White River as you explore rushing rapids and quiet pools. Towering buffs will surround you on your explorations, providing a scenic backdrop to your visit.
